2014 Outbreak of Gastroenteritis at a Post Office Potluck, Charlotte, NC

More than a dozen postal employees were taken to a Charlotte area hospital with suspect food poisoning after eating leftovers from a Veterans Day potluck. Nearly 200 employees participated in the potluck held to honor co-workers who are veterans. Some of the food was refrigerated overnight and employees and managers returning to work on Wednesday helped themselves to leftovers. Approximately 15 people were taken to the hospital.
