Casa Romero Restaurant Food Worker 2005

An outbreak of Salmonella Typhimurium was attributed to improper cooking and poor hygiene at a Casa Romero Restaurant in Illinois. Several of the people infected were employees of the restaurant. A food worker was the likely source for the initial food contamination. The restaurant closed for two weeks after being notified of the outbreak and was told to alter its cooking and hygiene practices.
