An outbreak of Salmonella Heidelberg occurred among patrons of a Park County, Wyoming, restaurant. Epidemiologic and laboratory analyses indicated that canned mushrooms, contaminated through foodhandling practices at the restaurant, were the likely vehicle of transmission. The NORS database also named swiss cheese as a vehicle.
