1989 Outbreak of Salmonella Typhi Infections Linked to Orange Juice, New York
A breakfast eaten on June 13 was the common link among persons who developed Typhoid. The breakfast occurred at a New York State resort hotel. Orange juice was implicated as the vehicle. The orange juice had been prepared by a food worker who was an asymptomatic carrier of Salmonella Typhi, the organism that causes Typhoid.
