Baked eggs that were served on June 7 were implicated in an outbreak of Salmonella Enteritidis infections, phage type 13A, at a nursing home. One hundred eighty eggs were cracked and pooled for cooking in a single eight-inch-deep pan. The eggs were not stirred while baking so uniform heating of the eggs may not have been achieved.
