A suspected Salmonella outbreak occurred in Boone County, Indiana, following a catered Thanksgiving dinner. Three of the 39 people who were ill submitted stool cultures which were positive for Salmonella Group B. A case-control study identified turkey as the potential vehicle of transmission. However, leftover foods were unavailable for sampling which prevented confirmation of the suspected source.
