Two outbreaks of Salmonella Enteritidis infections associated with food consumed at this Monroe County, New York, country club were detected in June and July 2002. The ill included five food handlers who worked in the kitchen. With the first outbreak, the restaurant was professionally cleaned. The second outbreak occurred two weeks later. The Country Club board publicly suspected sabotage, but the cause of the outbreaks was not given by public health officials.
