Just hours after the Alessi Bakery, in Hillsborough County, Florida, was nominated for ABC Action News' "Dirty Dining List," the bakery catered at least three parties that led to an outbreak of Salmonella. The state and local health departments investigated and suspected that the vehicle of infection were the meat stuffed potatoes. These were served at all of the catered events. The bakery had been cited for over 75 critical violations of the local food safety code within the same month that the outbreak occurred.
