2005 Outbreak of Salmonella Enteritidis Infections at Fern Hill Golf and Country Club, Michigan
An outbreak of Salmonella Enteritidis infections was linked to after-concert events at the Macomb County Community College Performing Arts Center in Clinton Township, Michigan. The after-concert events feature food items, including eclairs provided by the Fern Hill Golf and Country Club. Health department studies found the eclairs to be the only statistically significant common exposure of the ill people. The source of the contamination was never determined.
