2008 Outbreak of Campylobacteriosis Linked to Consumption of Raw Clams, New York
An outbreak of Campylobacter occurred among diners eating at Hinerwadel's Grove in Clay, New York, between September 4 and September 16, 2008. Clams were confirmed as the vehicle of infection when the bacteria was isolated from the clams and from ill diners. Both raw and steamed clams were implicated.
