2009 Outbreak of Trichinosis Linked to Consumption of Grizzly Bear Meat, Canada
Five French travellers ate grizzly bear meat while visiting Northern Canada. They had been on a Northwest Passage sailing expedition in the Artic. Members of another Northwest Passage sailing expedition ate some of the same grizzly bear meat. Two people in this party became ill.
