2010 Outbreak of Norovirus at a New Pathways, Inc.,Fundraiser, Minnesota
On April 25, 2010 a fundraiser was held at the Evangelical Free Church in Baxter, Minnesota. At least 35 people developed an infection caused by Norovirus. Eating vegetables and baby mixed greens served at the event was associated with illness. The fundraiser was for New Pathways, Inc. Prairie Bay Restaurant donated the labor to service the buffet line. Other volunteers set and cleared the tables, handled ice, and served beverages. No food was available for testing. No proven reason for the food contamination was found.
