2010 Outbreak of Campylobacteriosis Linked to Raw Clams, New York
Seven people in Clay, New York, became ill with Campylobacter after attending a clam bake at Hinerwadel’s Restaurant on September 15, 2010. Raw clams were suspected as the vehicle of infection. The clam bake had been sponsored by the Syracuse Builders' Exchange. In 2008 more than 200 people became ill after eating raw clams at Hinerwadel's.
