2010 Outbreak of E. coli O157:H7 at Feltham Hill Infant & Nursery School, England
As many as 25 pupils at Feltham Hill Infant & Nursery School, in England, developed gastroenteritis. The day care program closed after two children were taken to the hospital. Thirteen illnesses were subsequently confirmed as E. coli O157:H7. On February 10, it was announced by the public health agency that another day care program, Once Upon a Time Nursery, had been closed. Eleven children developed diarrhea and vomiting. It was not known if the two outbreaks were linked to one another.
