2010 Outbreak of Salmonella Infections at Homewood at Crumland Farms Nursing Home, Maryland
An outbreak of Salmonellosis occurred at the Homeland at Crumland Farms Nursing Home in Frederick County, Maryland. No cause for the illnesses was found. On inspection, the kitchen was clean, and the food workers showed no evidence of being infected with Salmonella bacteria. One person died after being hospitalized for Salmonella, although the death was reported to be from other causes.
