Routine surveillance interviews with two cases of Campylobacter coli infection conducted by the Minnesota Department of Health in late July 2011 revealed that both cases had consumed raw milk at a farm near Grey Eagle, Minnesota in the week prior to illness onset.

A total of three outbreak associated cases were identified. Repeat interviews with cases confirmed they had consumed raw milk from the same private farm on July 6 and July 7. Two cases were hospitalized. All isolates were indistinguishable by PFGE. Additionally, all isolates were resistant to nalidixic acid.
