2012 Outbreak of Gastroenteritis Associated with a Wedding Reception, Reno County, Kansas

In November 2012 public health and agriculture officials in Kansas investigated an outbreak of gastroenteritis among attendees of a wedding reception held on November 10, 2012 at a hotel and convention center in Reno County, Kansas. Twelve outbreak associated cases were identified. No one was hospitalized and no one died. No clinical specimens were collected or submitted for testing.

Analyses were performed based on food histories of the 12 cases and 7 well individuals. No food item was statistically associated with illness.
