Laboratory tests found that norovirus was the cause of illness in about 25 children and staff at Camp Good News located in Livermore Falls, Maine. Illnesses occurred on July 10, 2012. The camp was closed on July 11. After a thorough cleaning, the camp reopened on July 21. Public health investigators did not know if the virus was introduced by an ill person or from a contaminated food surface, food, or sitting water.
