Minnesota state health and agriculture officials reported that an outbreak of Campylobacter jejuni infections was detected in 6 individuals through routine disease surveillance. All six consumed raw dairy products from the Dennis Jaloszynkski Dairy Farm located near Cambridge, Minnesota. Three cases submitted stool specimens which were positive for Campylobacter. All three isolates were indistinguishable by pulsed-field gel electrophoresis at the Minnesota Department of Health Public Health Laboratory. Individuals reported going directly to the farm to obtain the milk. A stop sale of raw milk directly to consumers order was issued to the farm based on the epidemiologic evidence that the raw milk had been produced under conditions whereby it could have been contaminated.
