2013 Outbreak of E. coli O157:H7 Infections Linked to Ground Beef, Texas,
Brazos County (Texas) Health Department announced that an E. coli O157:H7 outbreak involving at least 5 confirmed cases was linked to ground beef from a local restaurant. Tests to confirm illnesses in 5 other patients were classified as "probable" cases. The outbreak was traced to food served at the Coco Loco restaurant located off of George Bush Drive in College Station. Health officials said that exposure appeared to occur between April 15 and April 17.
