2013 Outbreak of Gastrointestinal Illness Among Passengers Onboard the MV Discovery
Departure of Cruise & Maritime Voyages' MV Discovery was delayed due to an outbreak of gastrointestinal illness on the ship's previous cruise. According to a spokesperson for the cruise line, 4 passengers were quarantined and others presented with symptoms in the first outbreak of GI illness on the 700-passenger Discovery since Cruise & Maritime Voyages took over the operation of the ship in early 2013.
