2013 Outbreak of Norovirus Onboard Crystal Symphony Cruise Ship

A suspected outbreak of norovirus sickened more than 15% of passengers onboard a Crystal Symphony sailing. According to the CDC, 125 passengers were sick as well as 22 crew members. On May 6, 2013 two CDC Vessel Sanitation Program environmental health officeres boarded the ship on arrival in Los Angeles and conducted a trageted environmental health assessment.
