2013 Outbreak of Salmonella Overschie, Oregon

In December 2013 Oregon Public Health Division staff investigated two cases of Salmonella Overschie with indistinguishable PFGE results. Cases resided in Lane and Coos counties. Public health investigators administered a "shotgun" questionnaire in an effort to determine a common source. The two cases shared many possible exposures but the specific source could not be determined. One person was hospitalized. No one died.
