As of August 26, 2014 the CDC had been notified of 304 ill persons with confirmed Cyclospora infections in 2014; of these 207 ill persons had no history of international travel within 2 weeks before onset of illness. Most (133, 64%) of the cases were reported from Texas and most (133, 64%) were reported in July 2014. Among the 183 persons with available information, 7 (4%) were hospitalized. There were no deaths. Local, state and federal agencies traced illnesses in Texas to fresh cilantro from Puebla, Mexico. As of August 26, 2014 there was no evidence to link cases outside of Texas to cilantro from Puebla Mexico.
