2014 Outbreak of Campylobacter Infections Linked to Consumption of Raw Oysters, Oregon
An outbreak of campylobacter infections diagnosed in 5 individuals who consumed raw oysters sold by Coos Bay Oyster company of Charleston, Oregon prompted a recall of its shucked and in-shell oysters. Four people were laboratory confirmed with Campylobacter. One person was classified as a probable case. Onset of illness ranged from January 19, 2014 to January 30, 2014. Three people were hospitalized. No one died.
