2014 Outbreak of Salmonella Enteritidis Infections at Proper Restaurant, Boone, North Carolina
Public health officials in Boone, North Carolina investigated an outbreak of Salmonella Enteritidis infections among individuals who ate at Proper Restaurant on or after Saturday, May 17, 2014. There were 46 reported cases. No one was hospitalized and no one died. The suspected source were eggs used in remoulade for catfish and crab cakes.
