2014 Outbreak of Shigella Linked to True Foods Kitchen, California
Orange County Health Care Authority investigated an outbreak of shigella among customers of True Foods Kitchen, a restaurant located in Newport Beach, California. A total of 8 patients laboratory confirmed with shigella all reported eating at the restaurant between August 21 and August 25. The restaurant was closed on August 28 for two days for sanitizing. There were 9 primary outbreak associated cases and two secondary cases.
