2015 Outbreak of Illness Linked to Intentional Contamination, Cholula Bakery "Three Kings Day Cake", California
Forty four people were sickened with symptoms that included shortness of breath, hallucinations and dizziness following consumption of Three Kings Day Cake manufactured by Cholula's Bakery in Santa Ana, California. Testing conducted at a private laboratory found the cake to be contaminated with a substantial amount of a synthetic cannabinoid. The bread was made for Three Kings Day celebration held on January 6. It was distributed to nine stores in Orange County and one store in Long Beach, California.
