2015 Multistate Outbreak of Cyclospora Infections
In July 2015 the CDC announced an outbreak of cyclosporiasis linked to consumption of cilantro. As of August 21, 2015 495 ill persons were confirmed in 30 states. Most of these persons experienced illness onset on or after May 1, 2015 and did not have a history of international travel within 2 weeks of symptom onset. Texas, Wisconsin and Georgia reported clusters of illnesses linked to restaurants or events.
