The Sky Room, a Long Beach, California restaurant, was closed briefly in May 2015 following reports that 18 patrons and 3 employees were ill with norovirus. The first reports came when 6 people who dined on May 1 at two different tables became ill within 24 hours of eating at the restaurant. On May 13 more patrons reported illness. the restaurant was closed on Friday, May 22 for cleaning. It reopened on May 26. Investigators were not able to link illnesses to a specific food item.
