2015 Outbreak of Campylobacter jejuni Infections linked to Claravale Farm brand raw milk, California
In March 2015 California public health investigators learned of 8 northern California residents who were diagnosed with Campylobacter jejuni as a result of consuming raw milk produced by Claravale Farm. Investigators isolated Campylobacter in multiple bottles of Claravale Farm milk. Patients and milk isolates were indistinguishable. Illness onsets ranged between February 15 and February 23, 2015. Two cases were hospitalized. No one died. The outbreak was assigned California outbreak code 1504CA2DBR-1.
