2015 Outbreak of E. coli O157:H7 Infections Linked to Ground Beef at Worthy Burger, Vermont
Public health officials in Vermont investigated an outbreak of E. coli O157:H7 infections linked to consumption of ground beef at Worthy Burger, a restaurant located in South Royalton. In total 12 outbreak associated cases were identified. No one was hospitalized and no one died. Illnesses occurred between the end of August and the middle of September 2015. State health inspectors isolated STEC in an unopened package of beef obtained from Worthy Burger.
