2016-2017 Outbreak of Escherichia coli at a Restaurant, Gulfport, Mississippi
Mississippi public health officials reported an outbreak of Escherichia coli (Enteropathogenic, Enteroaggregative Enterotoxigenic and Enteroinvasive) among patrons of a restaurant located in Gulfport, Mississippi Exposure dates ranged from December 16, 2016 to January 4, 2017. Two hundred and five people reported illness One person was hospitalized. No one died. PCR was used to detect pathogens in patient specimens.
