2016 Multistate Outbreak of Salmonella Braenderup Linked to Mung Bean Sprouts
In May 2016 local, state and federal public health officials investigated an outbreak of Salmonella Braenderup linked to consumption of mung bean sprouts served at restaurants. Illness onset dates ranged from April 10, 2016 to June 8, 2016. Thirty two cases were reported by 11 states. Six people were hospitalized. No one died.
