In April 2016 Boulder County Public Health staff investigated an outbreak of Clostridium perfringens at a student sponsored event held at the University of Colorado Boulder. Food items from 8 restaurants served at the event. The implicated meal was on April 13, 2016. Six primary cases were identified. One person was confirmed with C. perfringens. No one was hospitalized and no one died. A sample of leftover Chicken Tikka Masala served at the event was positive for C. perfringens.
