2016 Outbreak of Norovirus at a Holiday Party, Boulder, Colorado

On December 10, 2016 thirty seven people attended a holiday office party at a restaurant located in Boulder, Colorado. Appetizers were passed to guests without tongs for service. The remaining menu items were served buffet style. Eighteen people reported symptoms consistent with norovirus. Two were laboratory confirmed. Seven secondary cases were reported. One person sought care at the emergency department. No one was hospitalized and no one died.
