In 2016 Public Health Seattle King County (PHSKC) officials investigated an outbreak of Salmonella Braenderup infections associated with 663 Bistro, a restaurant located in Seattle, Washington. Four people from 3 separate meal parties became ill after eating at the restaurant between March 11, 2016 and April 8, 2016. One of the ill persons was hospitalized.

PHSKC received the first report of illness on March 28, 2016. The second case was reported on April 7, 2016. The latest case reported eating at the restaurant on April 19. Public Health performed a field investigation of the restaurant on April 16, which resulted in temporary closure of the facility. The decision to suspend the restaurant's permit was based on observation of repeat improper food handling practices. The restaurant was allowed to reopen on April 14. However, a second closure occurred after reinspection on April 26 because of continued repeat violations. The establishment was reopened on April 27, 2016.
