2016 Outbreak of Salmonella Oranienburg at a Restaurant, Oklahoma

In August 2016 public health officials investigated an outbreak of Salmonella Oranienburg among patrons of a restaurant located in Clinton, Oklahoma. Dates of exposure occurred on August 4 or August 5. Thirteen people reported symptoms. Six were laboratory confirmed with Salmonella Oranienburg. One person was hospitalized and no one died. Investigators traced the outbreak to ill restaurant employees.
