2016 Outbreak of Shiga Toxin E. coli at the Logan County Fair, Colorado
In August 2016 there was an outbreak of Shiga toxin E. coli O157:H7 and Shiga toxin E. coli O26 at the Logan County Fair in Sterling, Colorado. Five outbreak cases were identified including 4 who were culture confirmed. All cases spent multiple days at the fair. A teenaged case had cattle at the fair and helped others clean stalls and wash animals.
