In March 2017 local public health authorities in the Denver area investigated an outbreak of suspected norovirus among patrons of a Denver restaurant. The meal date was March 5. Twenty one people reported symptoms consistent with a norovirus infection. No one was hospitalized and no one died. There were no stool specimens available for testing. Investigators learned that a chef worked while ill during the implicated outbreak period.
