Public health officials in Snohomish County, Washington investigated an outbreak of Salmonella serotype I 4,5,12:1:- linked to consumption of pork cooked at a private home as a whole pig. The implicated meal date was September 23, 2017. Four outbreak associated cases were identified. Three were laboratory confirmed with Salmonella. Three people sought medical care. None was hospitalized. No one died. Two strains were isolated in patient specimens and identified by PFGE as JPXX01.1857 and JPXX01.1314.
