2017 Outbreak of Shigella Linked to Souplantation, Camarillo, California
In June 2017 Ventura County public health officials investigated and outbreak of Shigella linked to the Souplantation Restaurant located in Camarillo, California. Twelve persons including a restaurant employee were diagnosed with Shigella. Five of the twelve were hospitalized. The restaurant closed on June 22 as a precautionary measure. It was permitted to reopen on June 27.
