2017 Outbreak of Vibrio Parahaemoyticus, Washington
Six people became ill after eating raw oysters at a Seattle restaurant on September 5, 2017. One person was laboratory confirmed with Vibrio Parahaemolyticus. One person was seen at the emergency department. No one was hospitalized and no one died. Investigators were unable to pinpoint the exact harvest location as cases consumed oysters from three different growing areas.
