2018-2019 Multistate Outbreak of Salmonella Concord Infections Linked to Achdut Ltd. Tahini
In November 2018 public health investigators announced an outbreak of Salmonella Concord infections linked to consumption of Tahini produced by Achdut Ltd. Eight people infected with the outbreak strain of Salmonella had been reported by four states. Illnesses started on June 16, 2018 to January 3, 2019. There were no hospitalizations and no deaths.
Achdut Ltd. issued a recall of tahini products because of possible contamination with Salmonella.
