In February 2018 there was an outbreak of Clostridium perfringens infections that occurred at a restaurant in Mason County, Washington. Eight outbreak associated cases were identified. No one was hospitalized and no one died. The implicated foods were rice and beans.

Investigators determined that the restaurant failed to control the temperature of implicated foods and that there was improper hot holding and cooling.
