2018 Outbreak of E. coli O157 at a Day Care, Tennessee
Five children who attended the same child care facility, Kids Place, Inc., located in Mascot, Tennessee became ill with E. coli O157:H7. The strain of E. coli O157 isolated in the children was genetically indistinguishable to the strain of E. coli O157 isolated in a goat fecal samples and one hay sample collected from the child care facility.
