In April 2018 there was an outbreak of norovirus illnesses at a restaurant in Pierce County, Washington. Forty people were ill. There were no hospitalizations and no one died. A specific food item was not identified although investigators suspected an ill foodhandler preparing ready-to-eat food was the source.
