2018 Outbreak of Norovirus Illnesses Linked to Tomatoes, Washington
In September 2018 an outbreak of gastrointestinal illnesses suspected to be norovirus occurred at a restaurant located in Cowlitz County, Washington. Nine outbreak associated cases were identified. No one was hospitalized and no one died. Investigators suspected an ill foodhander contaminated tomatoes used in menu items.
