2018 Outbreak of Shigellosis Associated with Eric Gorbman Catering, Seattle, Washington
Seattle King County Public Health (SKCPH) investigated an outbreak of Shigella infections associated with food prepared by Eric Gorbman Catering. The company catered two events at Temple Beth Am and Temple Beth Shalom in Seattle. Sixty-one outbreak associated cases. Four people required hospitalization. At least 2 employees at Eric Gorbman Catering also reported symptoms following the events but these employees did not report working while ill.
