2019 Outbreak of E. coli O157 Infections Linked to Ground Beef Sold at New Seasons Market, Oregon
In November 2019 the Oregon Health Authority (OHA) linked three E. coli O157 infections to ground beef purchased at three different New Seasons stores in Portland. The outbreak triggered a recall of bulk ground beef and other products made from ground beef, including meatballs, meatloaf and hamburger patties. The potentially contaminated beef was labeled with "Packed On" dates from October 19 to October 23, and "Sell By" dates from Oct. 23 through October 26.
